May with the LPO Mises Caucus
Hello All,
4 big things:
It is not too late to get tickets for the state convention, and that is going to be a blast! https://lpo.org/event/2022-libertarian-party-of-ohio-state-convention/
Central committee elections are coming up, and there is going to be a bylaw change soon to extend the period to submit interest to run for a seat. This is really important, and if you are interested in running with MC support, fill out the survey here: https://forms.gle/JCuB2WF7j6n3t9d68
With convention season wrapping up, we are moving on to real work. In Ohio, that means candidates, lobbying, and ballot access. We are going to be pushing ballot access hard for the next year, more to come
Get off social media, take a walk, and touch some grass. The flamewars don't benefit anyone, and what happens in Reno is what will decide things, not reading one more tweet. Would recommend a social media break (or at least slowdown) till the end of May, because it may get ugly, unfortunately.

Last month in review:
LP/Caucus News:
In one weekend, the Mises Caucus out fundraised the biggest LP national fundraiser of the year. There are more shenanigans with the LNC, but at this point I am not even keeping track. Just heads down, working to get ready for conventions.
Business Meeting:
Some stuff was shared by me at the meeting that shouldn't have been, so scrapped the recording. Here is the summary:
We are pushing for some bylaw changes at the state convention, they are good ones.
Think about running for internal LP offices, we need more volunteers
Sign up for the state convention
Mises Caucus Of Ohio goals:
Goal for Growing the Party: Host an average of 1 in person social a month in all 3 regions of Ohio till the end of the year.
Goal for Getting Elected: Run at least 10 candidates at local level races in 2022. Win at least 3. The goal will be to have 10 candidates ready to run by the end of the year, with campaign teams trained and rolling.
Goal for Changing Laws: Get at least 10 pieces of liberty legislation passed through local lobbying efforts. (gotta love that alliteration)
Calls to Action!
Get ready for ballot access:
This is going to be the big push, trying to get some trainings put together, and will be spreading the petitions all over the state. Its gonna be fun!
Start county affiliates:
This grows and strengthens the party. Also, county chairs get national delegate spots almost for sure, they choose state delegates, and they have a lot of influence on the state level. Start local, if you can and your county needs it. Reach out to this email address if you don't know who to contact to find out more.
Volunteer for the Mises caucus:
We are always looking for more volunteers at the state level. Here are the most urgent open positions. Just send an email if you are interested
Social Coordinator for NW/SE Ohio: Organize and attend the monthly in person socials in NW or SE Ohio
Delegate coordinator: Help us figure out who will be at convention and make us more effective while there
Candidate Coordinator: Help us find and support candidates for local office
